   Health and Social Care Statistics

ONS collect these statistics from registrations and surveys. This includes life expectancy and the impact of factors such as occupation, illness and drug misuse. Data is split by causes of death, child health, conditions and diseases, disability, drug use, alcohol and smoking, health care system, health and life expectancies, health and well-being and mental health.    Patient Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs)

PROMs measures health gain in patients undergoing hip replacement, knee replacement, varicose vein and groin hernia surgery in England, based on responses to questionnaires before and after surgery. This provides an indication of the outcomes or quality of care delivered to NHS patients and has been collected by all providers of NHS-funded care.
